I've been pretty much obsessed with drawing and painting my whole life, then with photography since high school. My father kept a dark room where he taught me to develop film and gave me my first camera, a 35 mm Pentax. I shoot Canon now, and keep my skills fresh through membership in the Professional Photographers of America and related training. My subjects are usually people, but I do shoot some nature and architecture. I enjoy being involved in the entire sweep of image creation, from the early brainstorming of a concept, to the choice of location and wardrobe, all the way through the psychological complexities of posing and expressions, culling and retouching images, and then choosing how best to print, frame and hang them.
